Letting Go

The Second Stage Of Change

December 9, 2025 | Reviewed by Editor
Summary
  • What thoughts, habits, or relationships are asking to be lovingly released?
  • What version of me am I still clinging to, even though I know I am changing?
  • Where do I feel the strongest resistance that might actually be an invitation?

As we move towards the end of the year we may find ourselves reflecting and preparing for the year ahead, contemplating our life and asking, “What do I want to change?” But an equally important question is:

“What is it time to let go of?”

Another word for this is surrender. How can you let go of all the things you think about, worry about, ruminate upon that no longer serve you; letting go of the old versions of you, old stories, old patterns that hold you back.

Now is the time of the year to ask:

  • What thoughts, habits, or relationships are asking to be lovingly released?
  • What version of me am I still clinging to, even though I know I am changing?
  • Where do I feel the strongest resistance that might actually be an invitation?

Letting go doesn’t mean you failed. Letting go means you’re honoring where your life is taking you.

 How Harmonyum supports surrender

When we’re in this space of who we no longer are but not yet who we’re becoming, the nervous system can get overwhelmed.

Harmonyum helps by:

  • soothing the body as it releases old emotional patterns
  • creating space for grief and relief
  • helping you stay present to the process instead of shutting down

You don’t have to figure out your entire future. You’re just asking to lay down what doesn’t need to come with you.
