Three-Point Breath
This simple breath practice will instantly stabilize and calm your entire being and bring harmony to your system.
- Sit quietly with the spine in an upright position.
- Bring the hands into Middle Pillar mudra (the hands are 6-12” apart in front of you with the palms facing each other). This mudra makes one balanced and neutral.
- Breathe in an equal three-part ratio: Inhale slowly while counting, hold the breath for the same count, exhale slowly for the same count. Continue for 3-11 minutes.
You can begin with a ratio of 5:5:5 and increase up to 20:20:20, which is one breath per minute. The key is keeping each part the same duration.
