Three-Point Breath

This simple breath practice will instantly stabilize and calm your entire being and bring harmony to your system.

  1. Sit quietly with the spine in an upright position.
  2. Bring the hands into Middle Pillar mudra (the hands are 6-12” apart in front of you with the palms facing each other). This mudra makes one balanced and neutral.
  3. Breathe in an equal three-part ratio: Inhale slowly while counting, hold the breath for the same count, exhale slowly for the same count. Continue for 3-11 minutes.

You can begin with a ratio of 5:5:5 and increase up to 20:20:20, which is one breath per minute. The key is keeping each part the same duration.
