Things are not always what they may look like.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The truth is we don\u2019t see life completely objectively. We see it through a filter that includes our past experiences, disappointments, fears, expectations, and emotional state in that particular moment.<\/p>\n

That filter informs everything.<\/p>\n

Two people can experience the same situation and walk away with completely different interpretations.<\/p>\n

One feels rejected. One barely notices. One sees a setback. Another sees an opening. One thinks, \u201cNothing ever works out for me.\u201d Another thinks, \u201cSomething better must be coming.\u201d<\/p>\n

The filter is different.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And Our Filter Doesn\u2019t Only Affect Us<\/h3>\n

Last week, we talked about how other people\u2019s words, moods, and negativity can impact us.<\/p>\n

But this week, turn the question around:
\nHow is my filter determining my experiences?<\/p>\n

Our filter influences what we look for, and what we look for influences what we find. That is why examining our own filter matters so much.<\/p>\n

We Maintain Everything Else<\/h3>\n

We shower. We clean our homes. We service our cars. We update our phones.<\/p>\n

But how often do we consciously clear the emotional and energetic residue we have accumulated through daily life?<\/p>\n

Experiences leave impressions. Impressions can activate old patterns. And before we know it, we may be viewing something today through something that happened years ago.<\/p>\n
